Gi Jiujitsu Techniques

Passing the lasso/spider guard techniques from NorthBay Jiujitsu Gi women’s class (9 a.m.) by Sonia Lastreto. Thanks to my training partner, Sonia!

Passing the lasso guard to side control

  1. Circling the wrist to untangle the spider guard, then push the leg down to the floor.

  2. Holding to the collar and circling, then do the knee slice. Keep pinning the knee towards the body.

  3. Push the half-lasso foot under the armpit then swim the other hand for the side control.

  4. Push the knee shield under the armpit, then let go of the collar hand and move to the belt.

  5. Get the other hand under the head for the cross-face position.
